Lynsey Art Gallery

I am Lynsey Tyson, a Lancashire born artist, based in Cheshire with a passion for animals and their landscapes.  As a keen walker, rider and outdoor enthusiast, I work from my own reference photographs wherever possible, and also love to paint 'plein air' whenever I get the chance.  A few years ago, I experimentally had a go at painting on some old roof slates, and found that the slates hold certain colours really well, and that they all have unique textures and contours. 

I often paint local landscapes and absolutely love to make the scenes as recognisable as possible, without it becoming 'photographic'...,and every painting has a unique story behind it.  I hope my viewers will enjoy sharing these moments with me, via my paintings and that you share the joy that these pictures  have been created.
