Criccieth by Artist Matthew Dean

Criccieth from Black Rock Sands - I took a charcoal drawing on a blustery day near Porthmadog and produced this watercolour from the drawing and my memories of the place. Some of the elements of the picture are invented, but the clouds, the sea, the town and the castle all feature prominently. 

I am a new artist - I have drawn and painted my entire life, but I now want to share my art with a wider audience. I paint landscapes and try to use my imagination to come up with my own unique perspective. I hope to challenge my viewer but I want them to genuinely enjoy looking at my images
