Woodland Mist

There is something spectral about woodland morning mist. Sometimes so low that it is swirling around your legs as you walk, other times all around you so trees seem to appear from nowhere. Mist is formed in the morning as the sun rises and the ground warms up. The air temperature is warmer than the dew temperature and this cause mist to form. The science is all well and good but will never explain the mystery, the magic, the surreal effect, and sheer emotion of witnessing another of nature’s wonders.
