Sam Millington

I am a Manchester-based abstract figurative contemporary artist. My creative practice began in my teens and was shaped by an early career in fashion after graduating, I worked internationally as a designer across Europe and the Far East before moving into freelance practice.

 

Alongside my studio work, I have lectured in life drawing and fashion illustration at universities in Manchester and Salford. I have worked extensively in community arts and education. My current work explores abstract figurative forms, pushing perspective, materiality, and expressive mark-making.
