Mike Lord

Mike Lord is a Lancashire based artist. He paints the trees, fields and hills around him in the village where he lives, as well as narrative paintings, often inspired by that countryside, the latter often with a hint of magical realism.

His chosen medium is oil paint, and he creates pictures by painting layers of colour and image to produce the evocative and often richly coloured artworks.

Mike sells his work at his annual solo exhibitions and has had work exhibited at Blackburn Art Gallery and Museum and Clitheroe Contemporary Art Festival.

He is delighted to now be exhibiting at Goose Green Gallery. He is very active on Facebook, posting all his new work as it is finished as well as works in progress.
