Collection: Louise Sweetmore Photography
From an early age, I had a desire to pursue a career in fabric design because of a love of art and design. Inspired by the 60’s revolution in fashion, I seriously considered wallpaper/fabric designing.
Also very competent at maths I was persuaded that a more profitable route would be banking/finance and accounting and sadly, I took that career route which, although successful, did not satisfy my need for personal expression. I dabbled with watercolours and oil painting before marrying and starting a family at age 20.
Now retired, I enjoy pursuing my passion for photography (a family trait) and have accumulated an extensive collection of images that I have been encouraged to share.
Currently living in the NW of England, I continue to experiment more. Goose Green Gallery have offered to share a sample of my work, taken with my keen eye and sensitivity of subject.
Collections
Louise's work in this Collection falls under three titles - the Reflection Collection, "As I See It" and the Pixel Collection. The images in this collection are themselves reflections of Louise's ability to see what many of us never notice. Sometimes humorous, often strangely compelling, the moments she captures offer a different way of seeing.
We like it!
