Kryshia Contemporary Art

Me and my relationship to my painting.                                        

A self-taught painter, my work explores colour and movement from memories and emotional responses to a life lived. I work in an abstract, expressionist style driven by my deeply rooted life experiences. I treat painting  as an outlet for these emotions, feelings, thoughts and memories, which have their outlet on my canvas.

What l love is that l never know in advance what the work will look like when completed. It's quite an unexpected and spontaneous journey. My style is expressive and intuitive, impacted by memory, personal highs and lows, colour and movement, which aim to stir emotions and feelings for both myself and the person viewing the piece.
