Collection: Anyi Wong

Hi everyone!
I am a 21-year-old watercolour artist based in Sale, Cheshire.

My art journey began at the age of six, when I picked up some coloured pencils with the desire to recreate some illustrations from a storybook.

Over the last fifteen years, I have found animals to be my favourite source for creation. I have explored a range of media, such as coloured pencils, oil pastels and pastel pencils, but my favourite by far is watercolour, as it allows me to capture the floridity and vitality of their natural form. I am often inspired by animals we see on a daily basis – whether farmland animals, British birds, or nocturnal mammals, and I am eager to depict them in my loose and colourful style.

My biggest artistic achievement to date is winning the ‘Animal or Wildlife’ Young Artists category in the SAA (Supporting All Artists) art competition at the age of 17 for my piece titled ‘Winter Swan,’ and securing 3rd place in the Young Artists category overall. It was an honour to meet other fellow artists at the awards exhibition in Nottingham later that year, and it gave me the inspiration to continue creating more art, so that I could eventually open my own art business.

I hope you enjoy browsing through my work! More examples can be found on my social media channels below. I also take commissions.
