Jenna Hurles

JENNA JAY HURLES A creative at heart, I am a dedicated artist who is striving to carve my way in the world of modern art. I have been painting for years, but feel that my recent work is my most compelling. I like to paint my feelings, in an abstract expressionist way, using acrylic and canvas board most often. My work has been gaining quite a following on my
instagram page, and I have had a few private commissions come from this avenue so
far. I am therefore determined to branch out a little and create a website for myself
where I can showcase my work online more thoroughly. I would also like to start
exhibiting my pieces more regularly with the hope that one day I can be recognised
amongst my peers as an artist with something to say, and more importantly, something
that’s worth listening to.
EXHIBITIONS & COMMISSIONS
LET US SEE YOU EXHIBITION — PRESENT
One of my pieces was selected as part of Airedale Studios latest exhibition, ‘Let us see
you’. I submitted a piece titled ‘Beyond the veil’.
THE GALLERY ART AND INK LTD — PRESENT
Three of my pieces are currently hanging in this local gallery; a triptych of canvas
board pieces that work together as a trio but can also hang individually as solo work.
The pieces are titled, ’Somewhere in the fog, there’s you’, ‘One day, I’ll let you in’ and ‘I
dim your light, because you shone so bright’.
PRIVATE COMMISSION — 2023
One of my pieces was sold privately to a local man who saw my work on Instagram,. He
said the piece really spoke to him and that he must have it, once he’d seen it. I was
more than happy to give the piece a new home and allow it to hang pride of place in
his front room. The piece is titled, ‘Stalled’.
THE QUEENS HEAD TAVERN - 2021
One of my pieces is on display in this local inn, which was commissioned after
lockdown in 2021. It features the likeness of Captain Sir Tom Moore, and has been a
talking piece for this local pub since it was put up on the walls.
